Sayoko Natsume

Sayoko is Goro's wife who died with the same condition as Rika. Although Goro's first impression of her was a lonely and serious girl, she is shown to have a bright personality and enjoys teasing him on many opportunities. According to Goro, she's quickly able to read through him, and it's heavily implied she knew about Goro's infidelity after the desperation of learning about her condition. Sayoko has a fondness for cats and holds a self-proclaimed "cat power" that allows her to get close even to easily frightened strays. She also has an interest in pottery and literature. Sayoko stayed in the same hospital as Rika when she was alive and met each other for a short while; she was the only one who knew how to calm Rika down. Sayoko was the one who asked Rika to always listen to Goro.
